It's 9 months since the launch.

Home of: How to be a singer, a performer, a soap star, movie star? You want to be an actor, a TV star?

I can't believe that time can go so fast.  We launched 'The Art of Live Performing', the ten month audio program, 9 months ago, designed to give a real head start to guys who perform or understand the necessity to, at least, be able to hold their own on stage, even if you are simply a songwriter.  It's brilliant for non English reading guys....the spoken word is so much easier than reading a foreign language.

Who would have believed the success stories from guys who have not even finished the course [still another month to go]

Two performers met through the Collaboration Service in The Serious Writers Guild and as they say "the rest is history".  Marcel has been one of the most active guys I have ever come across...he simply soaks up knowledge and has a million questions to ask....he has followed 'The Art Of Performing' tricks and methods to a tee.  I well remember how distraught he was when he didn't get a standing ovation on his first ever gig!  I don't think he slept for a week!  Now standing ovations are the norm.

Florian has been a Member of The Serious Writers Guild for some time now but the performing has really given him the kick start he needed.

A 'thank-you' from Marcel:

"Dec,

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SUCCESS!!!

I played a show last Saturday and it was just SUCH A HUGE SUCCESS!  I was booked for warm-up, I was the pre-act for the three top chart acts [in Germany] that night.

Everything was right. The lights, the smoke, the sound.. but most important: the audience was CRAZY!!!

The whole place was stuffed with 13 year old girls, they screamed when I got on stage...they really proved my f***ability that night :-)  All the girls wanted me to get naked!!! It was incredible. I gave AT LEAST 100 autographs... the security needed to "save" me from punters, they pulled me, touched me, screamed for autographs..."forced" me to take pics with them. It was the most wonderful feeling I've ever had. No kidding.

And you know what? My [merchandising] girls collected the contact data of 50 (!!!!!) people (funny but obvious: 48 girls, 2 boys :-) You know why? Because they only had 50 paper forms!!!  When they ran out of forms the audience wanted me to sign on every piece of paper they could get... (and not only paper...also skin... ;-)

That means: if we had had more forms we'd have collected even MORE contact data. I just didn't expect it to be such A SUCCESS!

Imagine that: 50 people in a show of 20 mins...  It was a thrill.

Plus: I DON'T KNOW WHY, BUT THE CHART ACTS DIDN'T GET MORE REACTION THAN I DID. Sometimes they even got less reaction than I did... strange and wonderful at the same time.

The audience just loved me.  It felt somewhere close to heaven and it still does.

THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME THE WAY.   I KICK ASS.

Lovely lovely regards :-)

Marcel"

Then an Email from Florian:

Hi Dec!

Fantastic!  Probably Marcel already called or mailed you.  It was a fantastic performance! We looked stunning! Marcel was awesome!  We had to perform an extra song.

I think we had to sign pictures for about half an hour after the show appearance.  Although I was only the guitar player, I had to pose for pictures, sign pictures, arms, stomachs, cell phones, bags, even t*ts... ;-)

We collected about 50+ email addresses and we could have been better...we just ran out of forms...

Wonderful work. We appeared on the same stage as acts like 'Starsplash''Soul Control'  (Chocolate) and Hot Banditoz (Veo Veo) and I think except Starsplash, Marcel had a much better audience reaction and was the only artist that got "Ausziehen! Ausziehen!" shouts from the audience, which means "take off your clothes".

One thing that embarrasses me is the fact, that no other of the CHART-ACTS took care of the fans...no signings, no fotos, NO Fanbase Building...strange.

Everything we did this evening was very strongly influenced by you. Thanks.

So does it all work?

You bet.....if you want that extra kick in the pants.....that extra push to give you a phenomenal performing edge, then get over to www.liveperforming.com or go straight to the secure purchase page.

As usual, everything is totally money back guaranteed.

More success?  I can't stand it:

Check out the results of UK Songwriting Competition and you will see Serious Writers Guild member Sheena Munro was runner up in Hip Hop/R&B/Rap.  And there is a story.

Sheena does not perform and prefers to get others to sing and produce her compositions.  She really wanted the track in question produced by the best and asked my advice.  I recommended two pals, [David and Ali] two of the hottest Hip Hop guys producing.  They never produce for money, only expenses plus a percentage - but they will always do me favours...you see, I taught them almost everything they know.  And whoops, she came runner up....right choice?

I wonder where it will all end up?      The Boss, Dec, working with the production genius David.

And by the way, the singer? Viccie Esselle, our managing director!

A brilliant observation by a Member:

"Most of the conversations in our lives tell us little about the person we are talking to. I believe that the main reason songs sell is because of this. When you hear a genuine personal communication, whether directed to you or not, it feels so good because you hear the real person. The stuff that often seems to go unstated. When you know it's real, when it matters to someone, you must respond (emotionally)."

Hi Dec!

Thanks for yet another excellent Demo Consultation...received today.  I'm just about to pick my way through it once again - I'll be getting back to you on some of the points you have mentioned...you're a star!

I don't know what I was expecting, but your telephone manner and readiness to talk certainly lived up to your promises.  John and I are very appreciative of your guiding hand, and I'm sure it won't be the last time we talk.  Michael Davies

Thank you and appreciate your time.

I must also add Dec that your releases are great motivators which have brought out pondering thoughts to the potential creativeness in me.

Have a great day. Kind Regards  ...Aaron [Australia]

Thanks for your help so far and for inspiring me to carry on with the music.

Best wishes

Dec I really appreciated everything and after reading that first release I knew you were going to help me. I had been working on my attitude for a whole 2 years before I joined the guild so I was reading the books but it kind of gave me a head start because my music has increase 200% I can't believe it.   I just thought you should know how you have changed my life.  Quincy Ellis [Birmingham, Alabama]

Still the mad rush of changing toons at the top of the UK charts.... Keane still have my top marks....maybe it's because they are local to me?  Gosh, This area around Sussex is just becoming so 'hot'.

"Hello. I am interested in joining the Serious Writer's Guild but I have a question and do not know who to forward it to. I have an extreme visual impairment and cannot read print. I am able to use the computer via a speech reading application which converts text into audible speech. Are the materials available on either electronic text format, (Microsoft Word file for example), or on tape etc?

If you could give me any information, that would be superb.

My Reply:

Hi C******....

I have a very good pal, Shel Talmy, he produced my fist hit ever, he went on to produce The Who, The Kinks etc. etc. He spoke to me by phone from The States to record his contribution to the two Interactive CD's of 'One Minute With Dec - The First Annual'. Do a search on his name and you will get to his site.

The interesting thing about Shel is that his eyes were never good and nowadays he is almost completely blind. However, he still produces and he has adapted nicely to all the computer programmes which are available. As you have.

We are actively getting ready to record 'How To Make A £Million From your Music'. The interactive audio CD's which we just did for 'The First Annual' was a trial run...and it works beautifully. 'The Art of Live Performing' is an audio program, ten months of two full CD's per month plus program notes and other goodies.

I don't know how you read from the computer screen but you obviously can. Perhaps you have a reading/audio program.  We have subscribed you to 'One Minute With Dec'.

The gags [Willie...don't read this!  In fact, any lawyer don't read this]

"An engineer died and ended up in Hell. He was not pleased with the level of comfort in Hell, and began to redesign and build improvements. After a while, they had toilets that flush, air conditioning, and escalators. Everyone grew very fond of him.

One day God called to Satan to mock him, "So, how's it going down there in Hell?" Satan replied, "Hey, things are great. We've got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and there's no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next."

God was surprised, "What? You've got an engineer? That's a mistake. He should never have gotten down there in the first place. Send him back up here."

"No way," replied Satan. "I like having an engineer, and I'm keeping him." God threatened, "Send him back up here now or I'll sue!"

Satan laughed and answered, "Yeah, right. And just where are YOU going to get a lawyer?"
